Exposition Text 


Definition : 

A piece of texy thay present one side of an issue


Purpose : 

Persuade the reader or listener by presenting oneside of an argument


Can be the form of : 

- advertisement

- spoken argumeng

-editorial


2 Types Exposition Text & Text Structure

☆ analytical exposition text : A text that elaborates the writer's idea about the phenomenan surrounding. it's social function is to persuade the reader that the idea is important matter

structure of analytical text : 

- thesis : introducing the topic and indicating the writer's position.

- argument : explaining the arguments to support writer's position.

- reiteration : consist of conclusion the thesis and arguments

- language features : relatiinal process, internal conjunction, causal conjunction, simple present tense


☆ Hortatory Exposition Text : A text that represent the attempt of the writer to have the addressee do something or act in certain way

Structure of Hortatory Exposition Text :

- thesis : introducing the topic and indicating the writer's posiion

- arguments : explaining the arguments to support the writer's position

- language features : focusing on the writer, using abstract nouns, using action verb, thinking verb, modal adverb, using temporal connectivity (firstly, secondly, etc), using evaluaying words (important, valuable, trustworthy), passive voice, simple present tense

assalamualaikum guys. hello, welcome back to my blog. and today, we're gonna talk about Passive Voice. cmon 🤜🏻🤛🏻 Passive voice is widely used in several types of English text such as explanation text and report text. Explanation text itself is a text that contains processes or things related to natural phenomena, social phenomena, science, politics, culture, and so on. Report text is a type of text that has the function of providing information or knowledge about an event or situation after the situation is investigated and through various considerations. The use of Passive voice in the text is intended as a variation of sentence form and an affirmation of the meaning of the sentence that focusses more on explaining and describing a process of events. so, this is passive voice. hope you understand what i mean. always happy for y'all, be healthy pls.
