When I am drowning in this silence.

One of the most obvious metaphors is in the lyrics above. Literally it can be interpreted as 'when I sink into silence'. But the real meaning is 'this silence torments him, until he feels suffocated and overwhelmed'. 


2. Shawn Mendes – 'Stitches'
Your words cut deeper than a knife now I need someone to breathe me back to life.

The lyrics above literally mean that someone's words can cut deeper than a knife. Though we all know that in real terms, one's words cannot be used to cut things off. So these words are just a figure of speech to say that 'a person's words are capable of hurting the other person's heart.'

Explanation text itself is a text that contains processes or things related to natural phenomena, social phenomena, science, politics, culture, and so on. Report text is a type of text that has the function of providing information or knowledge about an event or situation after the situation is investigated and through various considerations.
